Choosing a Thermoforming Machine
For most dental appliances, a Erkoform rapid vacuum unit will provide excellent results and has the advantage of not requiring compressed air. Pressure forming may be preferable where additional forming force is specifically required. The decision should also consider the workflow: Erkoform machines can be combined with Occluform-3 for direct bite imprinting during forming, while Erkopress machines provide positive-pressure forming at 4.5 – 6 bar.
