There is no universal vacuum figure that should be applied to every dental thermoforming machine. Purpose-designed dental vacuum formers use pumps and airflow systems matched to the machine and the forming process. Rather than trying to adjust to a particular vacuum number, use the equipment according to the manufacturer’s specifications and ensure that seals, airflow paths and the model area are clean and unobstructed.
