What is the difference between automatic and manual thermoforming machines?

Automatic thermoforming machines control more of the heating and forming sequence after the operator selects the material and program. Manual machines require the user to initiate more of the individual steps. Automation can improve consistency, reduce operator dependence and free staff from watching the sheet throughout the heating cycle. A manual machine may still be entirely suitable for lower-volume use or experienced operators.
