Minimise unnecessary model height, position the model to reduce excessive material stretching and use a starting material designed to provide adequate final thickness. The anterior teeth are particularly prone to thinning because they are often the highest point of the model. Good model preparation is therefore as important as simply choosing a thicker sheet.
