Thermoforming Basics
At minimum, you need a dental thermoforming machine, appropriate thermoforming materials, an accurate dental model and suitable cutting and finishing instruments. Depending on the workflow, you may also use forming granules, block-out materials and an occlusal forming accessory. A digital workflow may add an intraoral scanner, model-design software and a 3D printer. Equipment should be selected around the appliances you intend to produce.
