A laminated mouthguard is made from more than one bonded layer of material. The layers may have different hardnesses or functions, allowing cushioning, reinforcement and protective thickness to be combined in the same appliance. Pre-laminated materials simplify this process because the layers are supplied already bonded and can be thermoformed together.
