Is pressure forming better than vacuum forming?

Not necessarily. Pressure forming provides greater available forming force, but the quality of a thermoformed appliance depends on much more than pressure alone. Correct heating, model preparation, material choice, model height, positioning and cooling are all important. Modern rapid-vacuum machines can produce excellent adaptation for a broad range of dental applications. The more useful question is which system best suits the appliance and workflow.
