The required pressure is determined by the design of the pressure-forming machine and should follow the manufacturer’s specification. Dental pressure formers are engineered to operate at a defined working pressure rather than requiring the operator to select an arbitrary pressure for each case. Correct heating and forming timing remain just as important as the pressure itself.
