What thickness thermoforming material should I use?

Thickness should be selected according to the appliance and material rather than applying one thickness to every case. Retainers and aligners generally use relatively thin sheets, while adjusted splints and sports mouthguards require substantially more material. Starting sheet thickness is also not the same as final appliance thickness because the material stretches and thins during forming.
